Ranch Day, Recapped

Ranch Day, Recapped

Okay. Let's talk about ranch day!!!

Last weekend we invited a group of girls to spend a day with us outside of the gym, which, given the fact we are a "gym brand", is already a little chaotic in concept. We are, at our core, a brand built around lifting heavy things and looking good doing it. So naturally we decided to take that energy to a farm.

Here's how it went.

The Workout (Part One): Ranch Edition

We promised a workout. We delivered, just not the kind anyone was expecting.

The circuit was ranch-themed. Which means we showed up to hay bales, tires, gas cans, and an ATV. The movements on paper: ATV sled pull, tire throws, gas can carries, step ups on hay bales.

The movements in practice: absolute chaos, incredible content, and a very real reminder that functional strength is a different beast from gym strength. Turns out ATVs are heavy. Turns out tires are also heavy. Turns out the hay bales were not as stable as they looked and we have the footage to prove it.

Everyone finished. Everyone was slightly more tired than anticipated. No one complained. That's an Alura girl for you. 🖤

The Workout (Part Two): Pilates, Because Balance

Because ranch day also happened to coincide with the launch of our new Studio Sculpt collection - the softest, most buttery thing we've ever made, (in our not so humble opinion hehe) it felt wrong not to do a Pilates class. You know, to balance out the tire throwing.

So that's exactly what we did. One hour after hauling gas cans across a field, we rolled out the mats and did Pilates. In our Studio Sculpt fits. On the farm.

Was it a tonal shift? Absolutely. Did anyone complain? Not once. The Studio Sculpt held up through every single movement, for the record. Reformer-worthy, hay bale-adjacent, equally at home in both scenarios. Get you a girl (or a matching set) who can do both!!!

Then We Ate, Drank, and Met Some Animals

After the workouts, because at this point we had earned it, there was food. There were drinks. There may or may not have been some chaotic ATV rides. There was DEFINITELY tons of giggles.

And then, because the day wasn't complete without it, we visited the stables.

There were horses. There were chickens. There were women in Studio Sculpt gear standing next to horses and somehow looking completely intentional about it. The chickens were less impressed with us than we were with them. The horses were majestic. The content was very good.

What the Day Was Actually About

Listen, ranch circuit workouts and Pilates and stable visits are all very fun. But the thing we keep coming back to when we think about that day is what it felt like to have a group of women just... be together. No gym floor. No performance required.

Just movement and food and horses (oh my!) and the particular energy that happens when women who take their training seriously also remember how to have a good time.

That's the community we've been building since day one. That's why we do this. And that's what the ranch day reminded us.

We're already planning the next one. See you there? 🖤
